Full Review:
We have the most wonderful time. This was our first cruise. 9 family members in all. Embarkation and disembarkation was really straight forward. We opted for Freedom Dinning as there were so many of us. We never had to wait for a table. The food was outstanding. Portions were plentiful, varied choice - especially as there were 2 vegetarians and 1 gluten free. Food was well presented and always hot. Our restaurant manager and waiters were fabulous. Extremely efficient, polite and always smiling. We ate in the buffet/Plaza restaurant too. The was a good variation of dishes here too. Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks were great. The Horizon Grill did delicious fish & chips, along with burgers, hot dogs, jacket potatoes too. Our teenage boys really enjoyed these. The entertainment was really good. We saw comedians, magicians, dancers etc. All of which were very good. There are plenty of bars to sit and have a drink. Some are quiet and some are lively. The drinks are very reasonably priced too. There were plenty of sunbeds. Not always by the pool. But you could always find some around the other decks. The cabins were extremely comfortable, and kept very clean and tidy by the cabin stewards. P & O offered a free shuttle bus to the capital of every port that we docked. This was a great way to get around on port days. We were kept well informed on what was going on around the ship. This was by way of a Horizon Magazine which left in the cabin the evening before. P & O staff worked very hard to entertain everyone. Our teenage boys had the most wonderful time. In fact, on sea days we hardly saw them. The sail away parties were fun too. The service throughout the ship was amazing. The restaurant managers, waiters, bar staff, cabin stewards, reception staff, & P & O staff were so polite, so very helpful and always smiling. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
