The Oriana was the first cruise ship built specifically for the British cruising market. It entered service in 1995 and is equipped to perform world voyages. At the time she was built, she was the fastest cruise ship operating at a speed of 24 knots. The tiered decks are adorned with traditional paintings and wooden paneling and there is a blend of broad decks and quiet nooks designed to suit all passenger tastes.

P&O Oriana Reviews

Oriana caters to all manner of passengers from children to seniors and has the activities needed to keep everyone satisfied and busy. With two pools, bars and lounges, exquisite food in the restaurants and spectacular views, this ship is the epitome of classic cruising.

Size

The ship measures 853 feet in length and 106 feet in width. A crew of 794 is more than enough to provide personalized service to a regular passenger capacity of 1822, although she can accommodate 1928 passengers. There are 10 decks and 914 passenger cabins.

Cruise Destinations

World voyages are a specialty of Oriana, visiting 36 ports in 26 countries over the space of 94 nights. See the sights of the Caribbean, Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Australasia and the Indian Ocean, just to mention a few of the destinations. Travel from San Francisco to Hong Kong on a 37-night cruise or travel from Auckland to Southampton on a 60-night cruise that will let you enjoy 27 ports in 17 countries.

P&O Oriana Reviews

There are shorter cruises available as well, such as the cruise to the Atlantic Islands for 9 nights or visit the land of the Vikings with a 14 night cruise to Norway and Iceland. Take an autumn getaway for 3 nights to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Bruges or concentrate on the Caribbean for a three week cruise.

Life on Board

Choose to dine in a formal setting every night or alternate between formal and casual. You will enjoy the conversation of your fellow passengers in the bar or take in a cabaret show in the Black Lounge. Dance at Harlequin's or stroll about the deck in the moonlight.

For children there are age specific activities and clubs that will keep them fully entertained allowing parents to enjoy the cruise in their own way.
